This year Disa Park Pre-Primary held the annual fundraising auction on 10 June, and raised R33,000 for the school. The auction was dubbed a ‘right royal’ success and our auctioneers, dressed as a royal bride and bridesmaid, claimed to be Princess Catherine and her sister Pippa Middleton and kept guests entertained and bidding high throughout the evening.
Items on auction included weekends away, cases of award winning wine, restaurant vouchers, an Android cell phone and a t-shirt signed by Zef-rap group Die Aantwoord.
The money raised at the auction was put towards upgrading the school, including the sectioning off of a new classroom for the Grade R pupils.
