The month of November has ushered in some fantastic upgrades at Disa Park Pre-Primary School. The the western boundary of the school was given a much needed makeover with the installation of a 2.1m high galvanised bar steel fence. This replaced the old diamond mesh and barbed wire fence that was beginning to become a bit of an eyesore and was due for retirement.

A Grandparents Day was held at Disa Park Pre-Primary on Thursday 22 September 2011. Grannies and grandpas were treated to a show by the children, followed by a tea with a sumptuous spread of delicious eats. Each class sang songs and recited rhymes to the adoring audience. This year Disa Park Pre-Primary held the annual fundraising auction on 10 June, and raised R33,000 for the school. The auction was dubbed a ‘right royal’ success and our auctioneers, dressed as a royal bride and bridesmaid, claimed to be Princess Catherine and her sister Pippa Middleton and kept guests entertained and bidding high throughout the evening. Disa Park Pre-Primary’s new deck was built earlier this year around the beautiful tree that is the focal point of our playground and provides much needed shade. The deck is made from composite wood which consists of reclaimed wood fibres, is maintenance free and comes with a 10 year guarantee. The kids love playing on it, the teachers love the area being less muddy!
